Astronomy and Astrophotography Over Dark Skies @ Mill Hill Farm Caravan & Camping Park Darsham Suffolk

Now we are heading into late August the nights are starting to get longer. For the summer sun worshipers a time to squeeze out the last of the beach visits, but for me its time to start sitting out with a telescope or two. soaking up distant light from far off galaxies, stars and nebulae.

I'm still very new to astronomy but being a member of the local astronomy group Dash Astro has been fantastic source of knowledge, and Darsham is a stunning place to see the stars, the village is a 'Dark Skies Village' which means minimal night time lighting and on a clear night you can make out plenty of stars and the milky way with the naked eye. the campsite is on top of a hill (the clue is in the name) which means you get wonderful, uninterrupted views.
