We are still taking bookings for the last couple of weeks in 2026 Season but over the weekend just past (10th October 26) we had our annual End of Season Cookup in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. October is one of the best months to look up from the UK. The nights grow longer, the air often turns sharper, and the sky starts to swap summer’s bright triangle for autumn galaxies, winter constellations and some of the year’s most enjoyable meteor showers. This guide uses October 2026 dates and UK local time. Times are rounded, so treat them as a practical viewing guide rather than a navigation chart. The UK stays on BST until 02:00 on Sunday 25 October, then moves to GMT.

With the end of season only 6 weekends away, whether your squeezing in its time for some to start winterising their caravan. Draining down water, packing away the delicates and removing bedding. first few days back and winter is definitely with us, with crisp snow across the fields, and ice up on the lakes, not quite enough for a snow man but still lovely to hear the crunch of the snow underfoot, see the light glinting off the surface and the fresh cool air in your lungs!
